Josephine School House

JSMC Book Club

The Josephine School Community Museum Book Club was begun to promote literacy and cultural understanding. The subjects are timely and the discussions lively.

Our 2024 book selection is Master Slave Husband Wife, An Epic Journey from Slavery to Freedom, by Ilyon Woo. This is the remarkable true story of Ellen and William Craft, who escaped slavery through daring, determination, and disguise, with Ellen passing as a wealthy, disabled White man and William posing as “his” slave.

There will be three sessions this year, each covering a portion of the book.

All sessions will be in-person. Please join us!
